2024 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition

The 22th edition of the Italian National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition took place in Napoli from 7 to 10 February 2024, hosted by Università degli Studi di Napoli ‘Federico II’

The Kingdom of Antrano (Applicant) and the State of Remisia (Respondent) appeared before the International Court of Justice to settle their differences concerning the Sterren Forty.

The case presented the following issues:

  1.  The right to political expression,

  2. Statelessness,

  3. The right to a nationality, and

  4. The scope of the Security Council’s authority in the pacific settlement of disputes
