The Republic of Adova (Applicant) and the State of Rotania (Respondent) appeared before the International Court of Justice to settle their differences in the Case concerning Certain Criminal Proceedings between Adova and Rotania.

The case presented the following issues:

  1. Terrorism;

  2. Treatment of Detainees;

  3. Military Commissions and Due Process; and

  4. International Criminal Jurisdiction.
