The 1st edition of the Italian National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition

The Republic of Annolay (Applicant) and the Republic of Reston (Respondent) appeared before the International Court of Justice to settle their differences concerning the Women and the Children of the Revolution.

The case presented the following issues:

  1. Protection of civilians in armed conflict;

  2. Legal status and rights of women and children;

  3. State responsibility for wartime abuses; and

  4. Obligations arising from humanitarian and human rights law.
